Serve Children In Foster Care in the Northern Region of Indiana

Hands of Hope provides opportunities to serve as an individual, with a group, church, or business. Below are some of the opportunities. Please contact us if you have further questions.

Serve as an Individual

Care Communities

Serve on a team of 6-8 committed volunteers who come alongside foster and adoptive families, providing practical, emotional and spiritual support.

CarePortal

Meet real-time, tangible needs in order to keep families together and prevent children from entering foster care.

Encourage Foster/Kinship Parents

Foster and kinship families take on extra expenses, particularly for food and gas. Provide a note of encouragement along with a gift card for groceries or gas to ease the burden on parents.

Child Welfare Appreciation

Child welfare staff have one of the hardest jobs there is. Provide encouragement through a handwritten note and small gift.

Complete a Journey Bag

Equip a local foster closet with items needed to complete bags that are given to children when they first enter foster care.

Amazon Wish List

Purchase needed items off our Regional Amazon Wish Lists to be distributed to benefit children entering foster care.

Send a Child to Camp

Give a child the incredible opportunity to spend a week at SpringHill Camp! They’ll make friends, have a blast with fun activities and feel loved. Just $40/month sponsors a week of camp for a child, but any donation will help!

County Liaison

Are you interested in leading a movement in your county to make a difference for kids in foster care? County Liaisons spend about 1-2 hours a week serving as a bridge between churches and child welfare agencies in their county. Click here to see if your county already has a County Liaison!
