Engage Your Church
Joining Together to Make a Difference
James 1:27 says, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” God invites us to put His love on display by radically loving and serving others—especially the most vulnerable.
Hands of Hope exists to mobilize and walk alongside churches as they identify and discover practical ways to engage in caring for vulnerable children and families. This is done through a Family Advocacy Ministry or FAM. Together, we help create safe, welcoming spaces where people are equipped to do hard things with confidence and compassion.
Why a FAM Matters
Churches are often full of people who want to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children, but don’t always know HOW. We believe if churches are empowered then people will step up, either by becoming a foster or adoptive family or by committing to support a family in crisis. We are grateful when a church partner decides to make this investment to care for vulnerable children, and we want to do all we can to help push forward their mission, so we equip you with a step-by–step model called Family Advocacy Ministries.
