Regional Manager | Central Indiana

15-20 hours/week

Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Regional Manager will be a liaison with child-serving organizations within the
assigned region, including child welfare agencies, as s/he works to identify and engage the community in impactful
volunteer opportunities that support foster children and families. S/he will be responsible for identifying and expanding
community engagement, as well as implementing coordinated regional initiatives and other duties deemed appropriate
by the Director of Programs.

Responsibilities

Relationship Building

  • Develop and maintain relationships with DCS and LCPAs at the local level
  • Respond to volunteer inquiries, connecting them to meaningful opportunities
  • Encourage child welfare staff and volunteer leaders
  • Collaborate with local and/or regional organizations & businesses to increase volunteer engagemen
  • Assist in recruiting & supporting community partnerships in Hands of Hope’s programs
  • Lead regional convenings of local organizations and stakeholders committed to child welfare
  • Collaborate with Hands of Hope staff to engage churches in practical service opportunities

Coordination

  • Identify and implement tangible service opportunities (ie. Bridge Bags, Hope Gifts, Amazon Wish List, etc.)
  • Coordinate and implement other Hands of Hope engagement opportunities & events, as assigned
  • Gather and evaluate resources for foster children and parents
  • Coordinate hospitality/appreciation efforts for child welfare workers
  • Track deliverables for statewide reporting (ie. in-kind donations, volunteers engaged, children served, etc.)

Qualifications

The Regional Manager must be thoroughly committed to Hands of Hope’s mission and should have relational and administrative skills and experience in project management. This individual should be passionate about engaging the community in caring for vulnerable children.

Other qualifications include:

  • Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and committed to Jesus
  • Strengths in organization, attention to detail, and communication
  • Willingness to travel throughout designated region as needed
  • Familiarity with Microsoft/Google applications
  • Self-initiator, committed to follow through and able to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
