Since the onset of war in Ukraine, Hands of Hope supporters have continued to care for vulnerable Ukrainian children through our partnership with Wide Awake International. Located in Western Ukraine, Wide Awake pursues the deinstitutionalizing and care of physically and mentally disabled young men without families.
At the outbreak of war, the ministry and the young men they care for fled to Germany for safety. There, three Hands of Hope volunteers were able to join the Wide Awake team for a time of serving, respite care, and community.
