My brain has apparently decided to continue it’s membership with the Catchy Phrase of the Month Club (remember “March is the month of opportunity”?)
This month, the saying is “When it rains, it pours.”
Luckily, the origins of this month’s phrase weren’t nearly as difficult to decipher – the Hubs and I watched “Singing in the Rain” last week and, of course, the classic “April showers bring May flowers” always manages to make an appearance this time of year.
But I think the real reason why “When it rains it pours” is currently on repeat at Radio Amy, is because I just found out the final numbers from March’s events at Hearthstone and I have to say, they’re pretty amazing. Between the 3-hour Celebrating Adoptions event and the month-long program to give 10 cents of every beverage purchased to the ministry, Hearthstone and Hands of Hope raised a whopping… wait for it…
$850!
How incredible is that?!?!
Thank you to everyone who participated throughout the month and a special thank you to Mark Goff and his wonderful team at Hearthstone!
It just goes to show you how one little drop of faith can lead to a downpour of blessing.
