Bags for Hope
Provide a "Bag for Hope" to a child entering the foster care system. When a child is removed from their home they are given trash bags for their personal items, we can help change this for some of our children in Indiana. Each "Bag for Hope" will include:
  • New duffel bag
  • Toiletries: deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo
Donate towards Bag for Hope

If your church or organization is interested in putting together toiletry bags for the Bags for Hope please contact us at info@handsofhopein.org.
Sort Clothes - Kingdom's Kloset
Children when they enter foster care often come with the clothes on their back. Help sort clothes various evenings and weekends at Carmel Self Store 550 West Carmel Driver Carmel, IN 46032. Drivers are also needed any day to drop off clothes.

These are delivered to foster parents and Safe Family host families when children are first placed.

Supplies for Kids in Foster Care
Supplies are needed to distribute to kids in foster care and to equip DCS offices to create a friendly environment when children first enter care. If you would like to contribute please purchase something from the Amazon wish list. It will get sent directly to our Foster Care Director who will ensure it gets distributed to benefit children in foster care.

Support Department of Child Services
Outcomes for children in foster care have been shown to be closely related to turnover rate in Department of Child Services. Help support these community workers, who have very difficult jobs, by providing a meal to the staff in Hamilton County on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Those who sign up will be sent a meal sign-up genius where you can sign up each month for whatever food item you can provide. They are dropped off ahead of time to the Hands of Hope County Liaison.

Chaperone Events
Hands of Hope seeks to connect with a consistent group of children multiple times a year even if they move homes. These fun events, such as sports games, camp, or fun outings, provide an additional adult role model and encouragement for these children. For those who reside in the Indianapolis area, you could be that meaningful influence in a child's life!

If you are interested in being a Foster Care Child Chaperone please contact us.
