Hands of Hope board member, Curtis Honeycutt and his wife Carrie are in the middle of their adoption journey. We are excited for the Honeycutt’s to share their own successful fundraising tips at an informational meeting on August 28. Please read the note from Curtis below and plan to join us to learn more!
“In our seemingly endless waiting period for our referral, Carrie and I have been dreaming up a way to help other families who are daunted by the idea of fundraising for adoption. So, we’ve developed a short seminar with Hands of Hope that we’re privileged to be able to present on Thursday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Grace Church – 146th Street called Strategies for Adoption Fundraising. Here’s a description:
One of the biggest barriers to people considering adoption is the steep financial cost. This course will be a guide to adoption fundraising including how to get started, successful ways to reach out to your friends and family, applying for grants and loans and understanding tax credits. By sharing our experience and knowledge we have gained along the adoption journey, we hope to give people ways to reach their adoption fundraising goals.
Please share this free educational opportunity with anyone in the Indy area you know who is in the adoption process or who is considering it. Or, if this is something for you, please come! We’d love to see you there. Thanks for helping us spread the word.”
