Serve Children In Foster Care

Hands of Hope provides opportunities to serve as an individual, with a group, church, or business. Below are some of the opportunities. Please contact us if you have further questions.

Serve as an Individual

Care Communities

Serve on a team of 6-8 committed volunteers who come alongside foster and adoptive families, providing practical, emotional and spiritual support.

CarePortal

Meet real-time, tangible needs in order to keep families together and prevent children from entering foster care.

Amazon Wish List

Purchase needed items off our Regional Amazon Wish Lists to be distributed to benefit children entering foster care.

Send a Child to Camp

Give a child the incredible opportunity to spend a week at SpringHill Camp! They’ll make friends, have a blast with fun activities and feel loved. Just $40/month sponsors a week of camp for a child, but any donation will help!

Pillowcase Bags

If you love to sew, this is a great opportunity for you! Pillowcase bags are used in place of trash bags for children being removed from their home.

County Liaison

Are you interested in leading a movement in your county to make a difference for kids in foster care? County Liaisons spend about 1-2 hours a week serving as a bridge between churches and child welfare agencies in their county.

Serve as a Group

Hope Gifts

Your church, business, or organization can bless local foster children with Christmas gifts!
*Please Sign Up by the end of October as this drive takes place in November.

Bridge Bags

Provide a bag filled with toiletries to a child when they first enter foster care. These go to the Department of Child Services so a child has some of their basic needs met when they are removed from their home.

Child Welfare Appreciation

Child welfare staff have one of the hardest jobs there is. Provide encouragement through a handwritten note and small gift.

Host a Supply Drive

DCS offices are in continuous need of certain supplies. Learn how you can host a drive to collect needed items for children in foster care.

Church Network

Start or grow a ministry at your church serving vulnerable children. Receive resources, ways to get engaged, and opportunities to connect with other churches in your area.

Opportunities with some of Our Partners

Everyone has a role to play in caring for vulnerable children and we believe there are powerful possibilities when we work together! Check out some of our partners below for some additional ways to get engaged.
