21st Century Scholars

Students receive up to 4 years of undergraduate tuition at participating public Indiana colleges and universities. Students in foster care can enroll anytime they are in high school and the income eligibility guidelines do not apply.

The Also-Known-As Adoptee Excellence Scholarship is a $1,500 scholarship for an outstanding graduating high school senior or undergraduate student who was adopted to the United States from another country.

Guardian Scholars Program

The Ball State Guardian Scholars is a place of belonging and support for students who have experienced foster care. Within the Guardian Scholars, students are connected to peers who shared similar childhood experiences and a network of professionals trained to support their unique needs on campus. Through this program underrepresented, at-risk students experience equity and access to higher education at Ball State University.

Cedarville University

Cedarville offers this full-tuition scholarship to one young person each year who has grown up in the foster care system and is now seeking an opportunity to pursue an undergraduate education that reflects a biblical worldview.

CHAFEE Education and Training Voucher Program

A voucher program available for all foster youth who turn 18 in foster care or are adopted or enter into a guardianship out of foster care on or after the youth’s 16th birthday. The voucher can be used towards costs related to college or vocational/technical training programs.
