100 Holes and $31,000

Hands of Hope Blog

I was completely blown away by the effort and faithfulness of the participants in this years 100 holes of golf.   We had a gorgeous day golfing at Arbor Trace Golf Club in Marion, IN where we started our morning off @ 8:00 AM with a shotgun start to complete the 100 hole challenge.   The guys started the day off exited to play AND by the end of the day, they had a spirit of accomplishment.  One participant said “If you make me participate in this again next year…. THEN COUNT ME IN!”   The actual golf event was really a time to give praise and worship our God.  He brought His people together and empowered them to be bold to ask for donations for adoption and orphan care.   The ultimate result is that lives will be changed and God’s kingdom has been pushed further into this world.

Collectively the guys raised $31,000.  Let me say that again…. $31,000!!!!!   Hands of Hope is excited to participate with families who are needing financial assistance with adoption and we are excited to participate further with our partner orphanages in El Salvador and India by providing much needed funding for projects and various needs.

I want to say thank you to:

Kevin Roth, Jim Schwefel, Jeff Kramer, Brent Harris, Steve Jansen, Jeff Foutty, Matthew Coe, Dane Poteet, Chris Johnson, Joshua Collins, Mark Rexroth, Paul Sperback, Tom Wegert, Mark Fugate, Brian Buckler, Jerry Telford, Brett Ridoux, Rick Jones, Monte Curnutt, Randy Malcomb, and Blair Johnson.

Thank you guys for your efforts.   I look forward to serving again next year with you on the golf course.
